Sunday Pop Up Cinema Series - Central Park

Join us in the picturesque Central Park for an outdoor film screening this January. Malvern East will host two free screenings as part of the City of Stonnington’s Pop-Up Cinema series happening at various locations across Stonnington in January 2021. With its sprawling gardens and shady avenue trees, Central Park makes the perfect setting for a Sunday afternoon picnic with family and friends.

Supporting our local community is more important than ever, so why not pay a visit to your neighbourhood cafe or food store, and pack a delicious picnic to enjoy with the movie.

This free event series is a fantastic way to have some outdoor fun with family and friends this summer, all the while enjoying Stonnington’s beautiful parks and gardens – and your favourite films! Each Pop-Up Cinema event will feature two sessions – so the whole family is sure to be entertained.

Sunday 17 January 

4:00pm - The Secret Garden
6:20pm - Strictly Ballroom 

Sunday 31 January 

4:00pm - Bend It Like Beckham
6:00pm - Wimbledon

As this is a COVID safe event and there will be no food or drink vendors on site, so please feel welcome to bring your own picnic and rug. The Pop-Up Series will be run as COVIDsafe events in compliance with Victorian Government’s public health requirements. Physical distancing, regular hand sanitisation and QR code check ins are a requirement of these events. Please stay home if you are feeling unwell.
