The 2022 Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition is the most innovative and important annual event to take place in the Toorak Village, where we link the arts with business to form a unique cultural experience. From 1st May to the 12th June, we exhibit contemporary sculptural works in the shop windows and on the sidewalks of Toorak Road, Toorak Village – in café and boutique shop windows to lawyers, dental and doctor surgery windows.

This will be the 20th Exhibition of Sculpture to be held in the Toorak Village, originally inspired and curated by Ken Scarlett OAM in 2002. Curator Malcolm Thomson has selected 83 new artists from a very large group of entries and looks forward to exhibiting their work.

Additionally, for the first time, the exhibition will feature a group of works by eight indigenous artists from Central Australia (Walkatjara Art Uluru).

79 small and medium sized sculptures will be displayed in 79 shop windows with 4 large sculptures bolted to the sidewalks of Toorak Road. These will complement the 10 permanent sculptures purchased by the Toorak Village businesses from previous exhibitions and permanently on display all year.

All sculptures are made in Australia.

The 2022 Sculpture Awards judged by Dr Ken Wach commentator and writer from the University of Melbourne, will be announced at a Gala Opening held in the Village with $20,000 worth of prizes given away:

  • $10,000 VICLAND AWARD;
  • $5,000 TVTA Award;
  • $2,000 TVTA Award;
  • $2,000 Judges Encouragement Award;
  • $1,000 TV Traders Choice Award (Awarded at end of exhibition).
