Prahran Square Library is open

While Prahran Town Hall undergoes renovations, Prahran Library has moved to Prahran Square.

Located at the northern end of Prahran Square, the library is now open for browsing, borrowing and reading from popular collections. You can collect your reservations, return items and use the free WiFi.

The library is open Monday to Friday, 10am - 5pm and Saturdays, 10am - 1pm. On Thursdays, the library is open until 7pm.

Library services are in line with COVID-19 restrictions and we look forward to welcoming you to Prahran Square Library.

Simply Summer at Prahran Square

Prahran Square comes alive this Summer as we bring you outdoor programs and events, including Stories in the Square and Book Chat.

Programs will be in line with COVID Safe conditions and physical distancing and contact tracing will be required.

Please note, outdoor events will be cancelled if weather conditions pose a safety risk to attendees and staff. Attendees will be notified by email if an event is cancelled.

Are regular library programs being offered?

Prahran Square Library will deliver a range of outdoor events from this Summer. 

We’re bringing back some of our most popular in-person programs including Storytime and Babytime Rhymes, summer reading challenges and school holiday activities, Book Chat, Chess Club and more.

Programs will be in line with COVID-Safe conditions and physical distancing and contact tracing will be required.
