The widely anticipated annual ‘[untitled] literary festival’ returns to Stonnington from 15 to 18 November, with an inspirational line-up of authors and events celebrating storytelling in all its forms.

Hosted by Stonnington Libraries, the [untitled] Literary Festival kicks off with an opening night address by break-out new talent, Christian White. White recently secured a two-novel publishing deal for his critically acclaimed novel debut, ‘The Nowhere Child’.

The festival celebrates and announces the winners of the ‘What’s Your Story?’ writing competition which encourages Stonnington and Australian residents to enter their short stories, poetry and micro-memoirs to win cash and book prizes.

City of Stonnington Mayor, Cr Stefanopoulos said it’s wonderful to see and hear the stories and poetry of our literary community.

“This festival celebrates the breadth and diversity of authors, writers and poets and provides encouragement, acknowledgement and support for aspiring writers,” said Mayor Stefanopoulos.

Audiences will have the opportunity to engage with award-winning writers and hear their stories, viewpoints and related experiences in a wide range of events. There will be featured authors talks, panel discussions and ‘in conversations’, in addition to classes and workshops on aspects of writing, publishing and storytelling.

A few special treats are also woven in to inspire all literary lovers such as a live, semi-staged performance of a classic Mozart opera, Cosí Fan Tutte, and Jane and Me: My Austen Heritage, a memoir detailing Caroline Jane Knight amazing ancestral connection to the famous literary icon Jane Austen.
