The City of Stonnington is excited to partner with the Toorak Primary Green Team to bring a solar and battery information session to the local community.
A passionate group of students have been learning all about the benefits of solar and clean energy and are keen to promote the case for solar to the school community.
Toorak Primary School will host session on Wednesday 20 November from 6.30 - 8.30pm, which will be presented by the City of Stonnington and the Australian Energy Foundation.
Students were surprised to learn only 200 (4.7 per cent) of Toorak homes had switched to solar power. This represents a very low uptake compared to the 9.2 per cent average across Melbourne's inner south-eastern suburbs.
The free information session on Wednesday evening will support the community to feel better informed and confident to install solar.
The session will help residents decide whether solar and batteries are right for their homes and help them:
- understand how solar and batteries work
- find the right system and installer
With summer just around the corner, the time for solar is now!
