Species adaptations - a learning with STEAM
Take the teaching and learning of species adaptation to a whole new level by developing inquiry units that use the lens of STEM/STEAM. It’s no longer just about the adaptation of species it’s about linking their adaptation to their habitat. A STEM/STEAM inquiry unit can take a student on a journey from scientist, to technician, to engineer, to artist and mathematician, to use their knowledge to design and construct nest boxes and insect hotels and contribute in a very real way to a school’s creation of a biodiversity corridor. Taking the learning from nature, into the classroom and back out to nature!
Date and time: Tuesday 22nd October, 4 - 5.30pm
Location: Armadale Primary School, Densham Road, Armadale
