After seventeen years on the sidelines, the iconic dive pool at the Harold Holt Swim Centre is making a comeback as part of City of Stonnington’s plan to restore the heritage-listed dive tower.
The project includes a complete refurbishment of the dive pool along with retiling of all surfaces, and the installation of two new springboards at 1m and 3m height.
Structural repairs to the centrepiece dive tower will also be carried out to ensure that it remains an iconic visual monument for years to come.
Works are expected to commence from October 2021 and continue through to March 2022.
In addition to the dive pool works, the existing outdoor spa will be replaced with a new in-ground purpose-built spa, and a new plant room will be constructed at the rear of the facility to manage water treatment, heating, and sanitisation.
