The start of a new year is a good time for us to remember to practice COVID-Safe living for our family, friends and wider community. Here are some tips on what you can do to stay COVID-Safe:

  • Get tested if you have symptoms.
  • Read the Victorian Government's COVID Checklist to find out what you can do to prepare for isolation, what it means if you're a close contact or what to do if you have tested postive to COVID.

Prepare for isolation

Being prepared and planning for isolation will help make the situation less stressful if it happens to you. If you are isolating, learn how to manage COVID-19 symptoms and take care of yourself or family.

Get boosted

As of January 2022, COVID-19 third doses (boosters) are available to anyone aged 18 and over who had their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine four or more months ago. A COVID-19 third dose is strongly recommended to help keep you and your loved ones protected from COVID-19.

Children and COVID

Children aged 5-11 years are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. Getting kids vaccinated will help:

  • keep schools open, so kids can have more face-to-face learning and playtime with their friends
  • reduce the spread of COVID-19
  • protect them from getting sick from COVID-19.
