Dog owner's responsibilities

Stonnington parks and reserves are used by many people for different purposes, so it's important that dog owners comply with regulations. When exercising your dog, please ensure you:

  • Pick up after your dog. Bags and bins are supplied at designated areas.
  • Keep your dog on-lead at all times unless in a designated off-lead area.
  • Keep your dog off garden beds and playgrounds.
  • Keep your dog off ovals and sports grounds during designated times for sporting events, training and other community activities.
  • Carry a lead and always ensure your dog remains controlled and non-threatening.

Failure to do so may result in a fine.

Stonnington has 26 parks and reserves where dogs can be exercised off-lead.
