Testing, Testing. One, Two
A cabaret experiment, brought to you by the artists behind Yana Alana and Fu*k Fabulous.
Sarah Ward and Bec Matthews bring you a mash-up of original songs and video art in a conspiracy of true experiment. Queering cabaret and disrupting expectations, this is a work that investigates the instability of being an independent artist in a hetero-patriarchal, capitalist society.
‘Testing, Testing. One, Two’ is experimental material, two queers and a nightmarish, musical dream-scape of 90’s dance with some Barbara Streisand. Post sequins, this is cabaret without any of the gloss.
Expect a close-up, matt portrait of stark realism, witty skepticism and a mere slither of hope.
