Veiled Beauty and the Lived Experience

Veiled Beauty and the Lived Experience is the upcoming exhibition at Artemisia Gallery by Miss Martha, a local disability activist and feminist. Come along to the opening night celebration on Friday, 17 May from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The exhibition will run until 26 May.

Growing up, Miss Martha turned to art and film as powerful tools for interpreting human emotion and sharing her story. Combining her strong love for 1930s and 1940s fashion with her lived experience with non-verbal autism, Veiled Beauty and the Lived Experience is a stunning and honest representation of who Miss Martha is at this point in her career.

Established in 2024, Artemisia is an independent gallery and event space located in Windsor. The gallery opens its doors to artists and collectives at any career stage and welcomes a diverse range of mediums and styles. Artemisia Gallery & Event Space is a queer owned and operated business that encourages those who are LGBTQIA+ to join its creative family.
