On Sunday 18 October, the Victorian Government announced a further ease of restrictions on sport and exercise.

The announcement has seen the reopening of some of our favourite facilities, creating more options for exercise and recreation in Stonnington.

From Monday 19 October:

  • the Malvern Valley Public Golf Course has reopened, with some indoor areas closed in line with COVID-19 restrictions
  • the ramps have reopened! Grab your blades and boards and head to Pheonix Skate Park in Malvern East or Princes Skate Park in Prahran
  • over 1,300 extra people will be able to book a swim at Prahran Aquatic Centre every week. The maximum number of people allowed in our 50 metre outdoor pool has increased from 20 to 30 people
  • Up to 10 people can exercise in a group from two households. Gather the troops for a kick of footy at your nearest park or sportsground.
  • You can travel 25km from your home for exercise and recreation, with no time limits.

Keeping our facilities COVIDSafe

Our reopened sports facilities are operating with a COVID-safe plan in place.

This means that some amenities and services may not be available, such as access to indoor club houses and amenities and hiring of sporting equipment.

Plan ahead and contact the facility directly for more information.
