Margaret Connellan Stadium
Margaret Connellan Stadium (MCS) is a modern multipurpose facility within Stonnington Sports Centre, offering four league-sized indoor courts equipped for:
- Netball (4 courts)
- Basketball (4 courts)
- Pickleball (9 courts)
- Volleyball (2 courts)
- Badminton (3 courts)
MCS is available for casual entry, casual hire and regular (ongoing) hire. We also facilitate social pickleball sessions, run throughout the school term.
Casual entry
Casual entry is $7.90 and offers shared use of available courts on a walk-in basis. Great for practicing your skills, rallying your friends or simply staying active.

Casual hire
From team-building activities and social games to training sessions and large-scale tournaments, our versatile stadium can accommodate a wide range of events and occasions. Ideal for schools, community groups, sports clubs and corporate teams.
How to book a casual court hire:
Bookings may be accepted outside of opening hours and on public holidays.

Regular (ongoing) hire
We use a yearly Expression of Interest (EOI) process for regular (ongoing) hire. This helps us understand the best way to achieve fair and transparent facility allocations.
Applications open in September for the following year. We welcome applications for use of single or multiple courts at the same time.
When assessing allocations, we consider factors such as:
- booking size and duration
- the type of sport or activity
- whether the group is local or from outside the municipality.
