Looking for a fun, low-impact way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy the sports you love? Our free Come and Try Walking Sports sessions are perfect for older adults, beginners, or anyone looking for a gentler way to stay fit.
Whether you’re returning to sport or trying it for the first time, walking sports are a great way to boost your fitness, mental wellbeing, and social connections – all without the sprinting or heavy contact.
Participants are welcome to try just one sport or give them all a go. You can let us know your preferences in the registration form.
What’s on offer?
- Walking football: Led by experienced facilitators from Football Victoria, this low-impact, small-sided version of the world game is suitable for all abilities and fitness levels.
- Walking netball: Delivered by qualified coaches from the Stonnington City Netball Association, this slowed-down version of the game is ideal for balance, coordination, and social fun – no running or jumping required.
- Walking basketball: Run by accredited basketball coaches, this non-contact format focuses on movement, teamwork and fitness in a supportive, inclusive setting.
Session information
