Public Holiday Closure

Stonnington Libraries and the Stonnington History Centre will be closed on Monday 26 January for the Australia Day public holiday. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday 27 January.

While we're closed you can:

• access our catalogue
• explore our digital collections and eLibrary for eBooks, eAudiobook, magazines, newspapers, movies and music
• drop off your library items via the after hours return chutes.

Programs and Events 

Find out what’s on at our libraries and History Centre. With programs and events happening across the year, there’s always something to do at our libraries. 

Digital parking permits have arrived in Stonnington and the Parking Services team will be hosting free information sessions in our libraries for residents who need extra help joining and navigating the new online ePermit system.

Please note our regular programs are on pause over the holiday period. Many programs for adults will resume from Tuesday 27 January 2026. Our children's program will resume from Monday 2 February 2026.
