Writers, Readers and Stories

BookChat2020.jpg

Enjoy a range of literary events at our libraries or at HOME.  We connect writers and readers together via storytelling events, author talks, writing workshops and book groups.

Share your love of reading at one of our book discussion groups. Some book groups read a specific book each month and some are open to talking about whatever you have been reading lately.

Check out our annual Stonnington Literary Festival,[untitled]: our writers, readers and stories, where we gather some of Australia’s brightest writers, storytellers and thinkers to discuss books, stories, issues and ideas. Stay tuned for more information and check for bookings as we announce the program this October.

Read Now Book Club

The Read Now Book Club is a book club for readers who wish to read books from our Read Now collection and meet other readers for lively discussion.

Each month we pick one title from our popular Read Now collection to read as a group, then come together to discuss it. Copies of the chosen titles are made available for club members to borrow each month.

Spaces are limited to 12 participants at each library. A new intake of group members is rotated every six months.
