Ancestry Library Edition is an online genealogy research database. It gives you instant access to a wide range of resources for genealogical and historical research. Includes resources from Australia, NZ, USA and the UK.

Britannica Library is an online database that provides articles and multimedia content for kids, young adult and adults. It also includes a dictionary, world atlas and more and is designed to support homework, assignments and general research questions.

British Newspaper Archive

The British Newspaper Archive is a partnership between the British Library and Find my past to digitise the British Library's vast collection of newspapers. You can search news articles, family notices, letters, obituaries and advertisements from millions of pages of British and Irish newspapers from 1703 - 2003. To view pages from the archive, you'll need to be on a Library PC or connected to our Wi-Fi and register (for free) and be signed in.

Please note: Access is available only from Library PCs and devices connected to our Wi-Fi.

  1. Click on Get Started
  2. Enter your Library card number and Pin
  3. Start learning.

The first time you login you can select areas you are interested in and LinkedIn will suggest courses for you.

Download the Linked In Learning App from App or Play Stores

  1. Click Sign In
  2. Click on sign in with your Library Card (underneath the email box)
  3. Enter your Library ID stonningtonlibrary and then click continue
  4. Enter your Library Card number and Pin then click continue
  5. Start learning.

Mango Languages

Mango Languages is an online and app based language learning resource that can help you learn over 70 different languages including Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, Greek, Italian and more. You can also access 15 English courses for ESL Speakers, including English for Chinese (Mandarin) Speakers and English for Russian Speakers.

You can create an account using your library card number and email address to track your lesson progress.

Mango Languages is available via the AppStore and Google Play Store.


Road to IELTS
