25 November - 10 December

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign calling for the elimination of violence against women and girls. It runs each year from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women to 10 December, Human Rights Day).

During the campaign our libraries will:
  • Present respect and equality-themed Storytime sessions on Wednesday 26 November, 10.30-11am at Greville Street and Toorak/South Yarra Libraries.
  • Highlight books in our collection featuring titles from Respect Victoria’s 2025 Booklist.

Visit the Council website to learn more about the campaign and how to get involved.
