Celebrating Children’s Week at the libraries

Children's Week (18 October - 26 October 2025) is a national celebration that recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children.

We’re celebrating Children’s Week 2025 at the libraries with a range of fun and engaging activities for young children and families to enjoy.

Children’s Week Storytime – Curl up and enjoy stories, songs and rhymes perfect for little listeners.

Reptile Encounters – Meet amazing reptiles up close and discover what makes these scaly creatures so cool.

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt! – Grab your teddy and join the adventure in this fun-filled interactive performance by Carp Productions.

Badgemaking – Get crafty and design your own wearable art! Create a colourful, custom badge to take home.

All events are free and bookings are required for some activities.
