Have questions about failed debit fees, overdue invoices, or updating your payment details? Our FAQ section provides clear answers to help you manage your account, keep your enrolments or membership running smoothly, and avoid unnecessary fees. Check out the FAQs below for all the details.
When does the new failed debit fee begin?
The $5.50 failed debit (rejection) fee will apply from
- Thursday 18 December 2025 for Active Memberships.
- Thursday 8 January 2026 for Learn to Swim (Lessons resume back Monday 19 January 2026).
Why is there a $5.50 fee for failed payments?
This fee is not an additional Active Stonnington charge. It directly reflects the fee issued to Council by our debit provider Debit Success when a payment fails.
Will the rejection fee apply to every failed payment?
Yes. Each failed invoice/payment attracts a $5.50 rejection fee. For example, families with multiple Learn to Swim enrolments may receive multiple rejection fees if more than one payment fails.
