Visit Us

Stonnington Library + Information Service is open every day of the year, apart from public holidays.   

Stonnington Libraries and the Stonnington History Centre will be closed on Friday 27 September for the AFL Grand Final Eve Public Holiday. Normal hours resume on Saturday 28 September. After hours returns chutes will be available at all Libraries.

Malvern Library building works

From Monday 29 July to Thursday 29 August, Malvern Library will be undergoing building works to the air conditioning units. 

The library will remain open during this time and there may be some disruptions to services while the works are carried out, including the building temperature being cooler than normal. 

We apologise for any inconvenience experienced and appreciate your patience during this time.

The Stonnington History Centre is an archive dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of the City of Stonnington and its antecedents, the former Cities of Malvern and Prahran.  The Centre is a branch of Stonnington Library and Information Service and is located behind Malvern Library.
