Visit Us

Stonnington Library + Information Service is open every day of the year, apart from public holidays.    


Toorak/South Yarra Library will be used as a polling venue for the Federal Election on Saturday 18 May 2019.

The after hours chutes will be unavailable from 6pm Friday 17 May until 10am Monday 20 May.

Items may be renewed online or returned to one of our other three libraries.


Stonnington Libraries and the Stonnington History Centre will be on Monday 10 June for the Queens Birthday public holiday.  

Regular hours resume Tuesday 11 June. Items may be returned through the after hours chutes while the libraries are closed.

The Stonnington History Centre is an archive dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of the City of Stonnington and its antecedents, the former Cities of Malvern and Prahran.  The Centre is a branch of Stonnington Library and Information Service and is located behind Malvern Library.
