Visit Us

Stonnington Library + Information Service is open every day of the year, apart from public holidays.   


From Tuesday 2 April - Friday 5 April Toorak/South Yarra Library will be closed for major electrical works. The library will reopen at 10am on Saturday 6 April.

The after-hours return chutes will be closed from 8pm, Monday 1 April. There will be no library services from Toorak/South Yarra Library during this time.

The following programs will not be held during this time: Babytime Rhymes, Preschool Storytime, Lego® Builders, Friday Chess Club and Hands-on Technology

The Stonnington History Centre is an archive dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of the City of Stonnington and its antecedents, the former Cities of Malvern and Prahran.  The Centre is a branch of Stonnington Library and Information Service and is located behind Malvern Library.
