Welcome Home - a new play

Meg McNena's new play, Welcome Home, is an intergenerational comedy-drama about holding onto your place in the world – no matter what.

A great team of artists and an older woman protagonist claim centre stage, aiming to increase awareness of bias (gender, invisible disability, and ageism). The uplifting narrative celebrates connected community.

After a long hospitalisation, elderly Joyce returns home to a renovated smart-house, a rogue robot-vac, bossy gadgets, and home help who thinks she owns the place. In this comedy of errors, past and present collide but good neighbours are friends indeed.
