Visual arts opportunities

To support and nurture emerging artists, established artists and street artists we offer opportunities to showcase works at events and in our public spaces.

We also support artists through our annual Arts and Culture grants program.

Current programs

Expressions of interest are invited for visual arts opportunities.

Hit the Street youth program

Artists aged between 12 and 19 years can showcase their talent for street art through the Hit the Streets program!

Hit the Streets is an annual, three-month program that brings art to the streets, and has the added bonus of preventing illegal graffiti across the city.

Participants are teamed with renowned street artists to design, develop and paint a group piece, at the same time learning the techniques of street art letter form, style and more.

Interested?

To be part of the next Hit the Streets program register your interest on our Youth Services website.

Glow Winter Arts Festival

Expressions of interest from experienced professional and emerging installation artists are invited each year for our annual Glow Winter Arts Festival.

Working with our Festivals and Events team, successful applicants are commissioned to design, develop, install and dismantle large-scale, site-specific, temporary illuminated installations.

Expressions of interest

The call for expressions of interest will be advertised on our Glow Winter Arts Festival website.
