Report an illegally parked vehicle

If you believe a vehicle has been parked illegally, please call 03 9058 6600 and a parking officer will be dispatched to investigate.

Report an abandoned vehicle

Our power to remove abandoned vehicles is very limited. For Council to have the authority to impound and remove a vehicle, it must be:

  • considered abandoned, which means that it has not moved for at least 60 days
  • located on Council land, a Council-controlled road or a parking area provided by Council (we cannot remove vehicles from private property)
  • unregistered, noting that if a vehicle isn't displaying current registration plates, that does not necessarily mean it's unregistered.
