Land Information Certificate applications

When a person is selling a property, they’re required to add a Land Information Certificate to the Section 32 or Contract of Sale. 

You can apply for a Land Information Certificate electronically or by mail.

Applications received from 1 July 2020 to 2 September 2020 will not show the 2020/2021 rates and charges as they will not be levied.  Any applications received between these dates will show the 2019/2020 rates and charges only.  When the new rates & charges are available, an update on the 2020/2021 rates & charges can be provided upon request however a new land information certificate will not be re-issued.

You can apply and pay for a Land Information Certificate online using Stonnington eServices.

Step 1.Before you apply, register for an eServices username and temporary password.

Step 2.You’ll receive the certificate (in PDF format) via email.

Step 2.Forward completed form by mail with the prescribed fee

Post the Land Information Certificate application form and payment to:

Current fees

  • Standard application: $27.00
  • Priority application: $87.00 (processed within 24 hours)

We’ll mail the Land Information Certificate to you within three working days of your application and within 24 hours if you opt for the priority application.
