Council committees

Council operates a number of advisory committees to harness the knowledge, experience, expertise and skills of people who work, live or study in Stonnington to inform and advise Council on matters affecting the community.

Animal Management Taskforce

An advisory committee to advise Council on recommended proposals for future animal management and welfare services.

Audit and Risk Committee

The Committee assists Council to fulfil its organisational risk management, accounting and reporting responsibilities.

CEO Employment and Remuneration Advisory Committee

An advisory committee to advise Council on employment matters relating to the Chief Executive Officer.

Community Safety and Chapel Street Taskforce

An advisory committee to advise Council on community safety matters and oversee specific community safety initiatives in Stonnington.

Disability Advisory Committee

An advisory committee to advise Council on matters relating to people with disability, their families and carers.

Rainbow Advisory Committee

An advisory committee to provide a forum for LGBTIQA+ people and allies to voice their concerns, needs, and ideas to Council.

Reconciliation Advisory Committee

An advisory committee to provide strategic advice and guidance while advocating on issues and barriers affecting First Peoples in Stonnington.
