Reconciliation Advisory Committee

Purpose

The Reconciliation Advisory Committee has been established to provide strategic advice and guidance while advocating on issues and barriers affecting First Peoples communities in the Stonnington area. The Committee:

  • provides input and advice on the implementation of the Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan
  • receives reports and provides input into Council’s policy and decision-making processes
  • monitors implementation of the Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan 2025-2027
  • raises awareness and advocates for First Peoples communities within Stonnington
  • provides a mechanism for consultation with Traditional Owners.

Membership

The Reconciliation Advisory Committee has one Councillor representative who is the Chair of the committee, and community representatives including nominated representatives of both the Bunurong and Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung peoples.
