External bodies

Council appoints representatives to a number of external bodies that represent the interests of Stonnington and the local government sector.

The appointments below were made at the Council meeting on 19 November 2025.

Australian Local Government Women's Association To promote participation and representation by women in Local Government. Cr Jami Klisaris
Eastern Alliance for Greenhouse Action (EAGA) Works together on regional programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and facilitate regional adaptation. Cr Kate Hely
M9 Undertakes strategic, evidence-based, targeted and effective advocacy campaigns while building genuine partnerships with government representatives. Mayor, Cr Melina Sehr
Metropolitan Transport Forum Work alongside other member Councils to advocate for better transport and explore emerging transport issues and opportunities.  Cr Jamie Bell
Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) Represents and advocates local government interests and provides policy and strategic advice.
