Renew your pet registration

The City of Stonnington is moving to a new online service system. There may be processing delays during the October transition period.

If you've already registered your pet in Stonnington, you must renew your registration by 10 April each year. Failing to do so may result in a fine.

How to renew

Have your pets Animal ID number ready

You will need to provide your pet's Animal ID number to renew your registration.

Each pet has its own Animal ID number. If you're registering more than one pet, you will need each pet's Animal ID number.

The Animal ID number can be found on your renewal notice. This is not the same as your pet's licence or tag number.

Renew and pay

Log in to the platform to renew your pet registration. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up. Find out more about our online self-service platform.

Once logged in:

  • select ‘Pet registration' under Apply for something
  • follow the prompts.

Renew your pet registration

You can track the progress of your applications anytime through the platform.

If you're unable to renew your registration via email, visit one of our service centres to pay your renewal fee in person.

Renew your registration every year

You must renew your pet registration by 10 April each year. If you do not pay the renewal fee in time, you may be issued a fine.
