Request a new, extra or different bin

Make a change to your Council waste service. In most cases, you need to own the home or premises to do this because the waste charge might change in the rates notice.

Use the form to:

• order a new garbage, recycling or food and green waste bin
• order an extra bin
• upsize or downsize a bin
• start a new service for a new build or newly occupied property.

There are some bin change restrictions that apply to apartments with more than seven units. You can request changes for large apartment blocks by calling us.

Report a bin issue to let us know about an issue with a bin including if it's missing, damaged or stolen by calling us.

Waste service fees

When you start or change a waste service, there may be two separate costs:

• An administration fee to make the change, like delivering or taking away a bin.
• A charge on your rates notice.

We don’t charge anything for our recycling bins or service. Each property can have no more than two recycling bins.
