Connell Park playground upgrade

Connell Park Playground – located at 37 Alfred Street in Prahran - is a fully fenced play space that is designed to:  

• offer more ways to play for children of all ages and abilities 
• improve accessibility so that more people can enjoy the space 
• grow with the community by supporting the needs of children, families and carers now and into the future.

Playground features 

• Adventure play unit - includes two slides, platforms, climbing and balancing elements, and ground-level activity panels 
• Swing set - includes basket, toddler and junior swings 
• Four-person springer 
• Climbing hut 
• Abacus panel - sliding beads that children can move to count and make patterns 
• Orchestra panel - interactive musical feature that lets children create sounds and rhythms 
• Freefall panel - allows children to watch objects move through a vertical track, supporting problem-solving skills 
• Light-it-up challenge - interactive game that lights up as children play 
• Tubophone - musical feature made up of tuned tubes that children can tap to create different sounds

• Soft fall surfaces around the playground
