Retracing Stonnington's Queer Footprints: audio tour

Created in collaboration with Queer-ways, explore the queer history of the City of Stonnington’s rainbow communities.

Follow us as we retrace our community's footprints, during which you will be joined by the voices of local LGBTQIA+ individuals, who share stories from their own queer experiences.

By retracing queer footprints, we can step into a future where all of our histories are celebrated and acknowledged.

Come and celebrate our rainbow history this Midsumma

Join us for the official live launch of Retracing Stonnington’s Queer Footprints on Wednesday 21 January, from 10:00am - 12:00pm

Queer-ways hosts LUCIANO and George Keats will guide you to key locations of queer significance throughout Stonnington.

We encourage you to bring along a mobile device and headphones as the live tour will incorporate several recorded elements from community guest speakers.

Community voices include cabaret diva Dolly Diamond, Angela Bailey from the Australian Queer Archives and John Hall from Thorne Harbour Health.

The tour will have a rest stop at Chapel Off Chapel, where you can enjoy a song performed by Dolly Diamond with free refreshments.
