David Bailey & Classic Comedy "Girl Shy"
This classic 1924 film was the first comedy produced by silent film-era comedian, Harold Lloyd, under his own company. It will be brought to life once again with humour and action, using live accompaniment by visiting Queensland virtuoso David Bailey.
Melbourne Theatre Organ is a not-for-profit charity. Our volunteers preserve and present pipe organs built in the 1920s, which were specifically designed to accompany silent films of the era. Although we regularly run variety concerts, this event features a full-length comedy film accompanied by live cinema organ music in front of an audience, as it would have been seen originally.
