Health information sessions

Our Social Policy and Community Development team is hosting a series of health information sessions.

Designed for people over the age of 45 years, these sessions will give you the knowledge and confidence to improve your health and wellbeing.

Sessions are presented by Stroke Foundation Australia, Better Health Network and Diabetes Victoria.

The sessions will run for 45 minutes to one hour and you will have the opportunity ask questions.

Tea and Coffee and limited parking are available on the premises.

Wednesday 15 October: Stroke Foundation Australia

Session 1: Stroke Foundation Australia – StrokeSafe Speaker

6:30pm – 7:30pm

Join us for this information session with a StrokeSafe speaker, you'll learn about early warning signs and what to do during an emergency.

Wednesday 29 October: Better Health Network

Session 2: Better Health Network – Dietetics

6:30pm – 7:30pm

Join us to learn about the benefits of healthy eating from a qualified dietician.  Gain improved knowledge around nutrition, to reduce your risk of disease and to eat well on a range of budgets.

Wednesday 19 November: Diabetes Victoria

Session 3: Diabetes Victoria – Healthy Living Session

6:30pm – 7:30pm

A facilitator will deliver a 'Healthy Living Session' which covers the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, in reducing your risk of developing type 2 diabetes and other chronic conditions and an eligibility check for further engagement with the Victorian Government's Life! program.
