Animal Management Taskforce

Purpose

The Animal Management Taskforce is an advisory committee established in June 2025 to advise Council on recommended proposals for future animal management and welfare services which can be in place by 1 July 2026.

The committee was asked to make recommendations regarding services including, but not limited to, a regional pound, in-house service delivery, value-for-money review, potential new tender specifications, philanthropy options, and potential revenue generation opportunities.

Membership

The taskforce comprises four members of the public and four Councillors and is chaired by one of the external members, Mr Tim Dyke.
