Following completion of the Toorak Road level crossing removal, the City of Stonnington is completing park reinstatement and improvement works on Ferrie Oval in Kooyong.

25 February 2022The installation of sports oval floodlights and car park lighting will commence on 1 March. The works are expected to be complete by mid-May 2022.
During the works, Ferrie Oval will remain open to the public, with only areas around the construction zone fenced off for safety.

The floodlights proposed for Ferrie Oval will be 100 lux low-spill with four 15 metres poles installed to support the lights.
The floodlight design was adopted at the 29 March 2021 Council meeting.

The park reinstatement and improvements works have been subject to consultation with the surrounding community.
Park reinstatement and improvements were adopted by Council in September 2020 and the preferred floodlight design was adopted at the 29 March 2021 Council meeting.
