About the artist

Juzpop is a Naarm (Melbourne)-based artist known for her bold, surreal imagery that merges delicate realism with dreamlike abstraction. Her work explores transformation, identity, and the emotional landscapes of growth - often centering women as symbols of strength, evolution, and self-discovery.

Moving fluidly between large-scale murals and studio-based works, Juzpop pushes her style into new territory with every piece. Her vibrant, introspective approach brings a sense of wonder to urban spaces, inviting audiences to pause and reflect.

About the work

“This site-specific artwork is about getting lost in a good book – the kind that transports you into another universe. I was a huge bookworm as a kid. I have vivid memories of piling my arms up with as many books as I could carry, shaking with excitement about reading them all. Somewhere along the way, life and Netflix got in the way and I lost the habit. But recently I ditched the screens, picked up a book, and fell back in love. This piece is a love letter to imagination, nostalgia, and the escape a really good story can provide.”

Juzpop’s mural was commissioned as part of Stonnington’s Frameworks: A public art mural program which is guided by our Creative Stonnington Strategy and can be seen at the rear of the Toorak/South Yarra Library (340 Toorak Road), South Yarra.
