Street Performers Program
Our streets, your stage.
The City of Stonnington is currently hosting a new and exciting street performers program, working to put life and vibrancy back into our shared streets. This pilot program is playing an important role in revitalising our public realm, providing the opportunity for performers to contribute to the character and culture of our precincts.
Every weekend for eight weeks until 16 May, street performers are showcasing their talents across some of our busiest main streets, encouraging the community back into the city and supporting our local economy.
Just as our favourite pop-up bars and eateries have extended into the streets, so too have our street performers - entertaining, exciting and inspiring our local community.
All performers underwent a thorough application process, overseen by City of Stonnington Representatives from Events, Arts & Culture, Economic Development and Youth Services along with Mr Ludwig Schukin from the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) who was instrumental in selecting each performer to take part in the program.
Street performances include:
- musical performers
- living statue artists
- street theatrics and performance artists.
