Register a swimming pool or spa

The City of Stonnington is moving to a new online service system. There may be processing delays during the October transition period.

All pools and spas must be registered with Council.

Once registered, a building surveyor or inspector must inspect your pool. You then need to submit a Certificate of Barrier Compliance to Council. All pools and spas must be inspected every 4 years.

You must register any new permanent pool or spa within 30 days of receiving the Occupancy Permit or Certificate of Final Inspection.

You must register any new relocatable pool or spa on the fourth day if it is erected for three or more consecutive days.

How to register

Prepare your documents

To prepare your application, you need to provide a document that shows when your pool or spa was built, such as a building permit.

If you do not provide the construction date at the time of registration, there may be an additional search fee of $53.60.
