Prepare your documents
To prepare your application, you need to provide a document that shows when your pool or spa was built, such as a building permit.
If you do not provide the construction date at the time of registration, there may be an additional search fee of $50.70.
Register your pool or spa
Download and complete the Register a Pool or Spa application form(PDF, 127KB).
You can submit your application form with the required documents online. Select ‘Registration - Pool and Spa (existing or new pool/spa)’ from the list.
You will need a debit or credit card to pay the registration fee.
Submit now
If you’re unable to register online, you can complete the application and submit it:
- In person: bring your application and required documents to our service centre. You can pay the registration fee on the day.
- By email: email your application and required documents to council@stonnington.vic.gov.au. Our team will contact you to collect payment after your application been received.
- By mail: send your application, required documents and cheque to:

Lodge your Certificate of Barrier Compliance (form 23)
After you have submitted your registration form, you will need to lodge your Certificate of Barrier Compliance (form 23).
You can lodge your Certificate of Barrier Compliance (form 23) online after a registered inspector or surveyor inspects your pool or spa.
