Special occasion parking permit

Special occasion permits are available for vehicles to park at your home for one-off events like a party, funeral, wedding, or other special occasions. They are valid for up to two calendar days and for up to ten vehicles. These permits must be used in accordance with the residential parking permit terms and conditions.

Submitting your application for a permit means that you understand and accept these conditions and creates a legally binding agreement between you and the City of Stonnington. 

Prepare your application

You will need to provide the following information in your application.  

Proof you live in the City of Stonnington 

You must provide documentation, displaying your name and address, that demonstrates you live at the property.  This may include: 

  • Rates Notice 

  • Current signed lease  

  • Bond receipt dated within the last three months  

  • Utility bill issued within the last three months  

  • Current Healthcare, Pension or Department of Veterans’ Affairs card 

  • Statutory declaration from the property owner confirming you are residing at the property

Allocate your permit

Once your application has been approved, you will be able to allocate the permit to your visitors by entering their vehicle registration numbers into our ePermit platform. If you are unable to manage your permit via the platform, please contact our Service Centre on 03 8290 1333.
