Choral Edge presents YUM (You Us Me)
How do we form connections? How do we make friends? Where are all the places we used to be able to just "be" in community together. In this innovative physical theatre work melding choral music and dance, voices and bodies collide to explore how we build connection in a world that often pulls us apart.
Through movement and song, performers trace the fragile beginnings of community, how we find each other, how we nurture belonging, and how we sometimes fail to hold one another close.
This devised performance looks at the growing crisis of loneliness, revealing how rigid gender expectations and societal values isolate men, women, trans, and nonbinary people navigating the edges of belonging. Intimate and confronting, playful and striking, the performance invites audiences to witness vulnerability as an act of courage and community-building as a radical, collective practice.
This is a space where voices rise together, walls soften, and connection becomes both a question and a possibility.
