Fire safety at home for seniors workshop

seniors fire safety - 800 x 500.png

As we enter the colder months, we are more likely to stay at home and cook, as well as use electric blankets, heaters and fireplaces to stay warm. This increases the risk of fire, making this a good time to learn more about home fire safety.

Factors such as living alone, having mobility restrictions or being hard of hearing can make older people more vulnerable. Join our workshop to find out easy ways to stay safe.

A firefighter from Fire Rescue Victoria will provide clear and practical information on:

  • fire safety and smoke alarms
  • safe use of heaters and electrical appliances
  • kitchen and cooking fire safety
  • home fire escape planning.

Tea and coffee provided. Free parking available.

Book online via eventbrite or call our Community Safety Partnerships Officer on 0448 681 580.
