Kids Clay Workshop: Modernist Garden Art + Quirky Summer Creations

Kids-Clay

Join us at Duldig Studio in Malvern for a hands-on ceramic workshop where kids can explore clay, sculpture and garden design.

Your child will be inspired by the surrounding sculptural work of Karl and Slawa Duldig. The class is facilitated by Duldig’s sculptor-in-residence, Stefan Damschke, and held in the studio's sculpture garden workshop. Participants will learn ceramic basics and techniques that support free form, hands-on engagement with clay.

Kids will go on a safari through the Sculpture Garden, looking out for modern sculptures, garden art and mysterious abstract forms among the vines. Taking inspiration from their sculpture safari, young artists will be guided to make their own piece of garden art out of clay to display at home.

This 1.5-hour session is suitable for ages 5 to 15.

We provide:

  • terracotta clay
  • ceramic hand building tools
  • support and insights on handbuilding techniques.

Sculptures are designed to take home at the end of class and naturally dry. Firing is not included.
