Relax, release, renew to mindful meditation
Mindfulness is a type of mediation in which you focus on being aware of what you are sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgement. It is the union of mind and body.
Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery and other practices to relax the body and mind. It also helps reduce stress. When we learn to let go of the things that make the mind unpeaceful, we experience our body and feelings in each moment with acceptance. This helps free us of mental 'clutter'.
Meditation is not about attaining anything, but rather about letting go. It involves sitting or lying down quietly and concentrating on breathing rhythmically to release stress. The practice of slowing the mind brings balance into our lives which is critical to our health, happiness and overall wellbeing.
