Modernist researchers and collectors Jeromie Maver and Dean Keep will examine the how and why behind building a meaningful collection. With a shared commitment to philanthropy and championing overlooked designers and artists, their talk will reflect the values that guide their collecting practice.
Dean Keep will speak to the broader motivations and responsibilities of collecting, while Jeromie Maver will follow with a series of case studies, tracing how particular objects entered their collection and the research that shaped their significance. Together, they offer insight into collecting as both a personal pursuit and act of cultural preservation.
Dean Keep + Jeromie Maver are leading researchers, curators, and collectors specialising in Australian mid-century design. Together, they have spent over a decade building an extensive archive of materials, ephemera, and interviews, with a particular focus on designers such as Clement Meadmore.
