This bold new project that unites three visionary artists – Sunny Kim (Korea/AUS), Joanna Duda (Poland) and Helen Svoboda (AUS) – with collaboration and experimentation at the heart of their practice. It was co-commissioned by the Melbourne International Jazz Festival and Jazztopad Festival (Poland).

Joanna Duda, a pioneering Polish pianist and electronic artist, has become a standout at major international jazz festivals, known for her radical creativity and unorthodox approach to form and sound.

South Korean-born vocalist, composer and improviser Sunny Kim brings a deeply expressive practice shaped by cultural exchange, sonic experimentation, and a wide array of influences – from Björk to Billie Holiday.

Described as ‘extraordinary’ by Limelight magazine, Helen Svoboda is a double bassist and composer whose award-winning work explores the instrument’s melodic potential, drawing on years of study, collaboration, and performances in Australia and abroad.
