Residents

During working hours, residents may experience disruption from noise, dust and construction vehicle movements.

Access to properties will be maintained.

Pedestrians  Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Measure will be in place to direct pedestrians safely around the works zone.
Cyclists  The Toorak Road bike lane will remain open wherever possible. The lane may need to close at some stages of the works, at which time cyclists will need to dismount and walk their bikes.
Public transport  Tram operations and the South Yarra Station tram stop will operate as normal throughout the works. Access to South Yarra Station will also be maintained at all times.
Parking

Three parking spaces on Yarra Street, next to Toorak Road will be used during the works for construction plant and materials storage. These spaces will permanently close to accommodate the redesigned pedestrian crossing.

Motorists

During the works the Yarra Street/Toorak Road intersection will be closed to all traffic.

Traffic will be diverted to Claremont Street via the laneway, or southbound on Yarra Street to exit at Alexandra Avenue.

Where possible, we recommend motorists seek an alternate route.

Traffic management measures will be in place to ensure the safety of all road users.
