We are building a new park at 9 Scott Grove in Glen Iris.

Purchased in 2024, the nearly 4000 square metre site is being transformed into a local park to deliver much-needed open space in our neighbourhoods.

Works started in mid-2025 when we demolished the buildings. Further works will include levelling and cleaning up the site, tidying up the trees and then seeding the area with fast growing grass. Trees in poor condition or unsuitable for a park environment will be removed.

Due to the latent conditions, soil management and design adjustments, the timeframe for the park development has been amended.

This park development project delivers on Council's ongoing commitment to build more green spaces in our neighbourhoods and create quality spaces for the community to gather and enjoy.

View the concept design and get ready for the new park coming in 2026!

We’ve cleared the old house and buildings, tidied up the trees and levelled the site as we prepare to start construction of the new park.

We’ve also been working behind the scenes to develop a park concept design that we’d now like to share.

View the concept design below or drop by to the Scott Grove Park site between 10am and 11am on Saturday, 18 April when a member of the design team will be on-site to walk you through the design and answer any questions.

What we are building this year is designed to give you quality green space now. Additional park improvements may occur in future, subject to budget allocation and with a design informed by community consultation.
