In 2025, we are building a new park at 9 Scott Grove in Glen Iris.

Purchased in 2024, the nearly 4000 square metre site is being transformed into a local park to deliver much-needed open space in our neighbourhoods.

Works are planned to begin in mid-2025 when we will demolish the buildings, clean up the site, tidy up the trees and level and seed the area with fast growing grass. Trees in poor condition or unsuitable for a park environment will be removed.

We're fast-tracking the build so the space can be enjoyed sooner and, all going to plan, the park will open in Spring 2025.

The new park will remain open until the new year when we'll be back to create a more structured space with pathways, a lawn area, garden beds, park furniture and lighting. We're working on the plan now!

This park development project delivers on Council's ongoing commitment to build more green spaces in our neighbourhoods and create quality spaces for the community to gather and enjoy.
