Public Statement - Resident Parking Permits

Council has reviewed resident parking permit fees, and in line with surrounding Councils, has introduced scaled fees from the first residential parking permit issued. This change brings us in line with neighbouring councils, such as Yarra, Port Phillip and Bayside.

Stonnington offers more parking permits than most other similar councils, and the new fees are comparable to the permit cost for other councils. Discounted rates are available for eligible concession card holders.

This change was consulted by Council with the community on Connect Stonnington from 1 July to 21 July 2025.
